The friendly coastal town of Fishguard with its old fishing harbour is an ideal
base to explore Pembrokeshire by car or by foot. The nearby Coastal Path
offers some spectacular cliff top scenery punctuated by small sandy coves
The surrounding countryside, awash with the history and legends of West Wales will leave you with lasting memories. Do visit the magnificent Last Invasion Tapestry just around the corner in the Town Hall.
Cove Cottage is centrally located in Fishguard - and a short walk will take you to the delightful village harbour at Lower Town
Nearby restaurants and comfortable pubs offer a wide variety of food, wines and beers. Numerous town festivals held throughout the summer boast a superb range of cultural entertainment - fine art, film, theater, jazz, folk and classical music. Nearby is the delightful coastal village of Newport, and half an hours drive will take you to the Cathedral village city of St Davids.
Beaches at nearby Cwm Yr Eglwys, Pwllgwaelod, and Newport and further afield - Whitesands near St Davids are popular with families. Whitesands is famous with the surfing fraternity. Other water sports are also exceptionally well catered for including coasteering, sailing, fishing and of course the well known adrenalin boat trips around the islands off St Davids Peninsula.
